Laura graduated summa cum laude from Michigan Technological University with a Master of Forestry, and from Alma College with BA degrees in Spanish and Environmental Science. Laura has experience working for non-profits, public schools, private institutions, and the federal government in various capacities. She is currently a Resilience Forester for The Nature Conservancy in Duluth, MN, where her work focuses on implementing Natural Climate Solutions as land management tools. Laura is an outdoor enthusiast and currently holds the role of the Executive Director of a youth climbing non-profit and is a Community Ambassador for 2021-2022 for the national climbing non-profit Access Fund.
